Colin and Karyo were just excellent. They were able to sit at the last minute after I was let down by one house sitter. They let me know of their arrival time and were completely reliable in all aspects. They were very polite, friendly, and courteous and asked all the right questions when we had a chat initially. On arrival, we met up and they were lovely. I was away for 4 weeks and I received regular updates on mistletoe – she seemed much happier with them than I! Was great to know both she and the house were being looked after. Completely self-sufficient as a couple – did not require anything from me at all. I have come back to an amazingly clean house, my plants in the back garden are thriving, my patio, table etc all look so much cleaner and more inviting than when I left and my cat mistletoe is a very happy little girl. Would completely recommend Colin and Karyo 100%.

Colin & Karyo were quite simply marvellous! From our first communication with them I felt we had struck gold. So quick to respond and so flexible and understanding when we didn’t know whether we would be able to go away or not with the whole COVID situation. During the sit they kept us informed daily with photos of our cats and little amusing updates which kept us reassured that all was well at home. We returned to an immaculate house. Possibly more immaculate than we had left it! Certainly more tidy – our shelves have never looked so good. We would thoroughly recommend Colin & Karyo for any house sit. Although we are slightly worried that they are so good that they will never be free again to come to us! Fingers crossed we will be able to book them again for our next trip.

My first experience of having pet/house sitters could not have been any better! From the very start, the communication with Colin and Karyo was great. We had messages and phone calls before the sit started and I felt at ease immediately and it just felt right. During their 3 week stay, we had regular contact with them sending photos and updates of all my animals. They even kindly fed my neighbours fish when they went away. They left everything clean and tidy and I loved some of the rearrangements they did! 🙂 I have already asked them to come back whenever they can as it would be such a relief going away again knowing they would be looking after my home and pets. I wasn’t able to meet Colin or Caryo before we went away but spoke to him on the telephone He was extremely personable, answering all my questions and sounded very responsible and reassuring. Whilst we were abroad, he kept me updated with pictures of my pets and it was clear that they were being very well looked after. We came home after a slight delay and they had kindly stayed to welcome us back despite needing to be at their next house sit. Roxy the dog and Greco the cat were very happy and content. The house was immaculate with all the bedding cleanly laundered and back on the bed. My husband was thrilled because they had also picked up all the leaves in the garden!!!! We had the pleasure of being able to welcome Colin and Karyo to come and look after our two furry kids (cats) and our home (in which renovations weren’t quite finished yet, didn’t phase them though) for two weeks while we went abroad. I know they’re now booked up until the end of the year, but if you’re lucky enough to grab ’em for 2023, then genuinely look no further! They’re friendly, have an ace sense of humour, are relaxed just in the right measures and we got daily updates on how our ‘monkeys’ were doing in their care (read: very well). Our home was immaculate on our return, everything was in its place and while the furries were happy we were back, they had clearly had a relaxing and trouble-free time in Colin and Karyo’s care. I wish we could book the guys again, but they’re like gold dust ’round here – so go for it if you’re given the opportunity!

Contact beforehand – despite their being on the other side of the world at the time – was fuss-free and they calmly accommodated our request for an in-person handover. Once here they proved to be just as receptive and kind, checking how the house works and what makes Cleo most happy, and she was obviously quickly at ease with them. They work very well as a team and create a very capable but relaxed atmosphere. It was a pleasure to spend some time with them before our trip, and our conversations revealed how much they enjoy sharing their adventures, and that they really bond with the animals they look after. We left knowing everything was in safe hands. Updates while we were away were, as per our preference, occasional and relevant, and we came home to a (very!) clean house, a well-watered garden and a happy cat. This was our first time using housesitters to look after our home and, more importantly, our Labradoodle, Winnie. To say we were anxious was an understatement! Colin & Karyo were sensitive to, and very understanding of our worries. Their calm approach provided much-needed reassurance in the lead-up to the house sitting. During their stay they kept in daily contact with us, sharing photos and videos of Winnie’s daily adventures, which included wanders around the city parks, train journeys to nearby towns and the occasional visit to a local pub! These daily updates enabled us to completely relax and enjoy our trip in the full knowledge that she was in very good hands. In addition, to looking after Winnie so well, Colin & Karyo took good care of our home, including regular watering of our garden during the unexpected heatwave. When we returned to our home it was spotless. We would be delighted to have them back at some point in the future. Winnie would definitely be excited to see them again. Highly recommend them.

Colin looked after our two cats, gerbil and bearded dragon when we went away for 3 weeks. We were originally very worried about leaving them for so long, so it was wonderful to be able to leave them with someone so reliable, so easy to coordinate with and so nice to spend time with. He was incredibly helpful in advance – making sure he had everything he needed, and that he understood what our pets needed and their routines. He asked for very little preparation from us to make him comfortable while he stayed. And he looked after our pets very well while we were away – sending us gorgeous photos every few days (as we’d agreed). One of our cats wasn’t very well and so we left them with medication to give him while we were away. They managed that superbly, and so he was recovering well by the time we came back. He left the house super tidy (honestly it was as if no one had been here !!!). And we had a lovely catch up over coffee and shared news when we got home. I really couldn’t recommend him enough. And we’re really hoping to have him back again next year.

This was my first experience of my dogs’ being at home without me and with strangers, and I was anxious on a number of levels. The outcome, though, was excellent. Colin and Karyo provided plenty of communication before, during and after the sit (they had to leave a little while before I returned). There was trial and error involved with the dogs, but my impression was that this was managed with patience. It was good to be kept in touch with the ups and downs.

Karyo & Colin have been wonderful pet & house sitters. We were let down by another couple quite late & didn’t think we were going to be able to get away, but Karyo & Colin saved our Christmas! They are very experienced & I sensed that they just get on with their lives whilst taking great care of everything. I liked that they asked how much communication we wanted over the holiday too so they didn’t send too little or too much. On our return the house was clean & the cats were happy & purring. We couldn’t have asked for anything else. Perfect! Thanks both ❤️

Colin and Karyo were a great couple to look after our cats and house. They sent regular updates and really cared for our cats. We came back to a clean house and all the bedding washed. We would definitely have them back

Colin and Karyo were amazing sitters for our dog Ned. It felt like they loved our dog as much as we did, evidenced by the daily updates, photos and lovely messages we received during our holiday. We were able to relax knowing that Ned was well looked after and treated like a king, with daily walks, treats and cuddles. Colin and Karyo were incredibly reliable and are communicators – both in the lead-up and during their stay. Highly recommend them as trusted and caring sitters.

Colin and Karyo were very experienced sitters who made us feel fully confident leaving our dog, Rosie in their care. They sent regular updates and left our home clean and tidy. Rosie was relaxed on our return (as if we’d only been away a few hours!) and was happy in their company. They were both personable and unflappable. Book them if you can…We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
